Privacy Policy
Last updated September 3, 2026
This policy explains what we collect when you visit thebaystatebuyers.com or ask us for an offer on a property, what we do with it, and how to reach us about it. We have kept it short and in plain English.
Who we are
The Bay State Buyers is a Massachusetts real estate investment company that buys residential property directly from owners. You can reach us at offers@thebaystatebuyers.com or (508) 322-1776.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in our offer form, email us, call, or text, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the property address, and whatever you choose to tell us about the property and your situation.
Transaction records. If we make an offer or buy your property we keep the ordinary records of the deal: our notes and photos from the walkthrough, the offer, the purchase and sale agreement, closing documents, and correspondence.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records standard web log data: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and the page that referred you. This reaches us through Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site, and through Google Analytics if it is enabled.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your request, evaluate the property, prepare and present an offer, complete a purchase if you accept, keep the records we are legally required to keep, and understand which parts of the site are useful. If you ask for an offer we may follow up by phone, text, or email; you can tell us to stop at any time and we will.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with other buyers, lead brokers, or advertisers.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies and professionals needed to run the business and complete a purchase, and only as much as each one needs:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, security, lead storage, and the anti-spam check on our form.
- Resend — delivery of the emails we send you.
- Google Analytics — anonymous traffic statistics, if enabled.
- Closing attorneys, title companies, and lenders — if we go under agreement on your property.
We will also share information with anyone you ask us to — your attorney, a family member, an executor — and where the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
Cloudflare’s Turnstile check sets a short-lived token on the offer form so we can tell people from bots. Google Analytics, when enabled, sets cookies to count visits. You can block or clear cookies in your browser; the site still works without them.
How long we keep it
If you ask for an offer and we never buy the property, we keep your enquiry while there is a realistic chance of working together, then delete it. If we do buy your property, we keep the transaction records for at least seven years, because tax and legal rules require it.
Your choices
Email privacy@thebaystatebuyers.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete what we are not required to keep. Massachusetts residents have additional rights under state law, including notification of a data breach; we honor those the same way. You can opt out of calls, texts, or emails at any time by telling us.
How we protect it
The website runs over HTTPS and form submissions are stored in access-controlled storage. No system is perfect, but we take the security of your information seriously.
Children
This site is meant for adults selling real estate and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
